Valley Fox is a Milwaukee-based folk power trio whose music lives somewhere between folk, bluegrass, country, and Americana. Featuring Laura Bomber on guitar, Joe Wais on mandolin, and Tori Yocum on upright bass, the group pairs gritty acoustic instrumentation with rich, haunting three-part harmonies.

There’s an intimacy to Valley Fox’s music that feels especially at home in a house concert setting. Their sound moves from delicate and reflective to driving and energetic, with thoughtfully crafted songs and vocal harmonies at the heart of it all.

In 2025, Valley Fox released their debut full-length album, Bear Dance, an eight-song collection showcasing the sound the trio has built together. Their music feels rooted in traditional acoustic music while remaining distinctly their own, sometimes tender, sometimes foot-stomping, and always centered around the chemistry of three musicians playing and singing together.
